Derek and Philip’s Big Wheel Rally Team
6th Annual Big Wheel Rally
March 15th, 16th and 17th, 2012
Gwinnett Arena
The Big Wheel Rally is an adventurous and spirited fundraising event in which the attorneys and staff from The Law Offices of Gary Martin Hays & Associates ride adult sized big wheels for 48-hours around the upper concourse of Gwinnett Arena during a weekend of two Gwinnett Gladiators games. The beneficiary is Keep Georgia Safe, a nonprofit 501 (c)(3) organization with the mission to provide safety education and crime prevention training in Georgia. Proceeds will be used to train radKIDS instructors in the state of Georgia.

Team Captain: Derek Hays
Bio: Derek Hays completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and graduated with a degree in communications. He then moved to Orlando to work for Disney World in the animation department.
After several years, he decided to attend law school in Atlanta. Mr. Hays completed his law school education at John Marshall Law School.
He is licensed to practice in all of the state and superior courts of Georgia, the supreme court of Georgia, and in federal court before the United States District Court, Northern District.
Team Captain: Philip Milam
Bio: Philip Milam graduated from the University of Georgia in 1981 with a degree in economics and received an M. Ed. Degree in 1987 from North Georgia College.
After receiving his law degree from Atlanta School of Law in 1993 Philip worked with the District Attorney’s Office for the Northeastern Judicial Circuit as an assistant district attorney.
He gained valuable trial experience prosecuting major felonies. He left the DA’s office after four years to work with an insurance defense firm handling property claims, personal injury and wrongful death claims for three years.
